In a world where randomly generated wallet addresses are hard to remember, we believed giving them a name would improve the experience of 9M+ people. While working for MultiversX Labs, I designed xName with the purpose of unifying IBANs, decentralized wallet addresses, and credit cards under a simple name. The idea was too ambitious for the regulations and technology we had in 2024, and the project was postponed.
